The First Touch
I remember it vividly...
"There I stood, tense and curious, during the introductory class at the Youth Theatre School. As a teenager, I portrayed Maria from West Side Story. I gave my version of Maria her own voice, her own accent, her own posture. It felt scary, unfamiliar, uncertain, but with quiet determination, I brought the character to life exactly as I had imagined her in that moment. The group started to laugh, the teacher joined in. Yes! My Latina accent landed".
The freedom to colour a character in my own way already felt like a magical experience I would never forget."
The Silence Between Us
My creative expression through acting felt, for a long time, like a lost love. I lost sight of it without realizing it, yet it never truly let me go. Music and singing, on the other hand, were always there. Alive and tangible to me, but hidden from others.
After years of working with people as a Trainer and Coach, space slowly opened up again for my creative self. By observing, guiding, and connecting, the desire to portray stories grew stronger. Their stories. My own story.
That’s how I intuitively found my way back to my own form of expression: acting, singing, and writing.
The Surrender
Storytelling that moves people, that’s what I strive for. The more complex, the better. The more challenging, the more exciting. Often speaking, singing, sometimes in silence, but always in service of the story. Carried by life experience, nourished and inspired by genuine connection.
What once lay dormant, now lives fully !
For me, it is always a beautiful challenge to bring a character or story to life in a way that feels authentic on every level.
Let me know if you’re ready to take on that challenge with me.
