The First Touch
I remember it vividly...
"There I stood, tense and curious, during the introductory class at the Youth Theatre School. As a teenager, I portrayed Maria from West Side Story. I gave my version of Maria her own voice, her own accent, her own posture. It felt scary, unfamiliar, uncertain, but with quiet determination, I brought the character to life exactly as I had imagined her in that moment. The group started to laugh, the teacher joined in. Yes! My Latina accent landed. The freedom to colour a character in my own way already felt like a magical experience I would never forget."
The Silence Between Us
My artistic passion later became a lost love. Unconsciously, I lost sight of it, but it never let go of me. After years of working closely with people, as a Soft Skills Trainer and Coach, I intuitively found my way back to creative expression. That return brought a deeper connection to everything I do in my performance, in my voice, and in the trainings I facilitate.
The Surrender
I shape stories that move. The more complex, the better. The more challenging, the more alive I feel. Sometimes speaking, sometimes singing, sometimes in silence — always in service of the story. Carried by lived experience, and fuelled by sincere connection.
It remains a beautiful challenge, every time: to embody a character that feels real in every way.
Let me know if you’d like to take on that challenge with me.
